Excellent video”Fair(y) Use Tale” that gives the history of copyright. I will use this video with 8th graders to introduce plagiarism. “Creative Commons” explains free copyrights license. I will explore more this resource to learn more about "free copyright licenses" and options to share, reuse.
This has been an incredible learning experience. I have learned how to blog. I have created a wiki :Welcome to the Renaissance and posted it in library webpage. I used PCWorks to create it. I will create wikis on the Civil War and Ancient Rome based on Joyce Valenza's website. I organized my booksmarks using del.iciou.us and will create a link in my blog. I will continue to explore Library Things, World EBook and LibriVox and share this wonderful resources with staff.
I would be very interested in participating in another discovery program.
Web 2.0 provided excellent resources to fully comprehend and embrace digital learning aids aligned with current student population to support student learning. It also gave me the opportunity to collaborate with my fellow teacher librarians in doing "23 Things and Welcome to School Library Learning 2.0"

Week 9 #22 Explore eBooks & Audio eBooks
I explored 'World EBook Fair' site and it has great sections that I could use for the library websites. It now cost $8.95 but I was very pleasantly surprise that' Fourth Annual World eBook Fair from July 4th to August 4th is offering free download of ebooks. I will continue to look at the site and select books that will enhance our collection.
LibriVox is a free audio books that offers books that are in the public domain. I was able to find some of the Core Lit novels that we have at our sites. This will be a wonderful resource for the visually impaired and ELL students at our schools. I will post this great link in the library webpage.

Week 8 # 19 Library Thing
Great site. I enjoyed exploring this site. Built a widget My Favorite books. I added tags and changed the covers. I will create a new widget for our New Books Spring 2009 and I will post it in the Library Web Page. Great way to promote the new books!
Week 8 #18 Zoho & Google Docs
I explored Zoho Writer but I found it not easy to use. I tried to post a blog and I have not successful. I also looked at Google docs and I found it easier to use. I will able to share documents and have only place where documents are being edited. The only problem I see is that you have to be on the web to edit them. I definitely will choose Google docs over Zoho writer.
Week 7 #17 Sandbox Wiki
I spent time going over Library Success best practices:http://www.libsuccess.org/index.php?title=Wikis.
I followed "step by step guide creating my first wiki. I collaborated with Social Science Teacher and created my first pbwiki : Welcome to Renaissance Research: http://blackmtlrc.pbworks.com/ and posted a link on the Library Webpage. I will explore using Wikispaces Pathfinders since you do not need to know html to create them.

Week 7 # 16 Wikis
I looked at the different wikis created by librarians. I was impressed by Teacherlibrarian wiki created by Joyce Valenza. I offers icredible resources from Cool free tools, Very cool ideas to Information Literacy. The very cool idea "The Roaming Librarian- Book a La Carte" is one that I will try promoting it at both school I work. It will give a great opportunity to show case the new books and get kids to read. I have added links to OVMS webpage :
